How to be successful in employment as a graduate

Today there are more people studying for degrees than there have ever been. Perhaps this is partly due to societal improvements which have led to greater intelligence. Regardless of why, it can be very difficult for graduates to find employment. There are usually a significantly greater number of applicants than there are jobs available, which is a problem for those who haven’t achieved top tier grades in their subject.

Considering the competitiveness of the market, it is incredibly important to avoid making mistakes when you apply. One of the most common mistakes stems from candidates failing to take each individual application seriously, where they distribute their resume with reckless abandon without carefully considering what skills to include in relation to the job they are applying for. It is important to remember that when recruiters scan your resume, they will look at your academic background, and they will observe whether your profile and experience matches what is listed on their job specification. It is therefore crucial for graduates to tailor their resumes to include relevant experience, and create a profile that matches the skills necessary to succeed in the jobs they are applying for. This way, recruiters will be impressed by thier educational backgrounds, and also by the skills obtained that are transferable to the job in question.

It is also really important not to limit applications to one or two portals, where graduates often choose one or two agencies and heavily rely on them. If you have sent off numerous applications with one agency and failed to hear a response, it is probably time to move on. This is essential when considering how many different recruitment agencies there are out there, alongside various opportunities to send your resume directly to companies. By restricting yourself to one or two agencies, you are only covering a small percentage of jobs available on the market, so widening your net will improve your chances significantly.

If you have the ambition to further your education beyond the Bachelor’s degree level, then funding opportunities have made this a possibility for people from all walks of life. Here you will greatly enhance the skills you need to be successful in the industry, skills that aren’t strictly limited to the specialization you have elected to study. From a broader perspective, you will enhance your ability to communicate, work as part of a team, and will generally become a more confident individual who is better equipped to take on the working world. You can obtain these benefits from studying for a Master’s.

Online routes of education have made it possible to study for a Master’s online, a prospect which would have been refuted ten years ago. Due to technological advancements, studying a VU’s MBA degree online is realistic, a notion that is hard to believe when you consider how difficult it is to gain a bachelor’s degree. This suggests great improvements in the quality of education provided by Virtual Universities.

By following the points above and considering further education, you should ensure a prosperous career for yourself, if you stay focused.

How to get rid of cellulite

What is cellulite?

Often referred to as orange-peel skin, cellulite occurs as a result of enlarged fatty tissue pressing against the upper layer or skin or the epidermis. The result is a cottage-cheese like effect as the surrounding skin puckers visibly, a nightmare scenario for aspiring escorts in London. Our bodies naturally have a layer of healthy fat below the skins surface which acts as connective tissue to join the skin to our muscles and bones. This subcutaneous layer is an essential part of our body and is part of our heat regulation system as well as providing protection. No matter how well toned your body is there will be a layer of fat within the skin.

Normal fat cells in this layer do not produce the effect of cellulite but when these cells become enlarged as a result of poor diet, nutritional deficiencies or when blood flow is constricted then these cells push against the upper skin layers producing the trademark orange-peel dimpling.

Cellulite tends to be more visible in those areas of our body with more underlying fatty tissue such as thighs, buttocks and the stomach.

Cellulite should not be confused with cellulitis which is a skin infection and should be treated by a GP (usually with antibiotics).
How to prevent cellulite

The primary way to combat the appearance of cellulite is to start from within. Eating a diet that is rich in lean protein and avoids unhealthy fats and sugar will help reduce the fat cells in your subcutaneous layer of skin. It should also be noted that smokers tend to suffer more with the appearance of cellulite as a result of the skins diminished elasticity. Regular cardio workouts and targeting exercises to tone those problem areas will all help to prevent the onset of cellulite, escorts based in London should consider joining a local gym or take up jogging outdoors.

Staying hydrated and boosting your metabolism are also excellent ways to combat this dreaded skin condition.

How to treat cellulite

But what if you already have cellulite and the changes in your diet and lifestyle aren’t improving the appearance of your skin? Well, there are some proven ways to help target those problem areas which may help.
Body Brushing

Using a dry body brush made with natural fibres you can perform a full body brush from your toes to your shoulders. The process of brushing the skin is thought to encourage a healthy circulation and improved blood flow which results in plumper looking skin. If your skin is more plump then the visibility of underlying cellulite should diminish. This can be done before taking a shower on a daily basis and should be done from the left hand side of your body to the right hand side, brushing towards the heart to aid circulation.
Exfoliating Scrub

A method favoured by many professional escorts, with similar purpose to the body brushing exercise an exfoliating scrub will invigorate your skin and leave it refreshed and more plump looking. You can try any number of products on the market place or mix your own scrub together using natural ingredients such as sugar or coffee grounds.
Juniper Oil Massage

Juniper oil can help reduce water retention and the process of massaging this in to the skin can help break down the build-up of other toxins within the skin.
Drink Green Tea

What could be simpler? But how does it help? Well, Green Tea which is easily obtainable from many London stores has natural but potent thermogenic properties meaning it burns fat. Reducing the fat content of your subcutaneous layer will improve the appearance of cellulite.
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

Proven to help the body dispose of ‘brown’ fat ACV can help boost metabolism and aid with weight loss and toning. Simply drinking two tablespoons with warm water three times a day before meals can help.

5 Tips To Make Your Skin Ready For The Summer

Make Your Skin Ready For The SummerSummer is here and so is the fear of dealing with the skin issues. If you are frightened at the idea of wearing a swimsuit that would expose your body then you must be dealing with some skin issue such as pigmentation, acne, skin discolouration, scars etc. But this summer, there is no need to be afraid of exposing your summer ready skin. Get your skin in shape and make it ready for miniskirts, sexy swimsuits, tank tops and bikinis by utilising these professional dermatologists suggested skin fixes.

1. Deal with your skin discolouration

If some parts of your body such as a neck, back of your arms, chest or face looks darker or redder as compared to the rest of your body then you may choose to cover up your body parts instead of exposing them by wearing tank tops or sleeveless T-shirts. If you love having sunbathe then your face and the thin skin of your décolletage will surely gain attention showing sun damaged skin and effects of alcohol consumption and smoking.

Instead of wasting your money on useless skin lightening creams, dermatologists recommends undergoing non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation treatment to treat discoloured skin, pigmentation and redness. The LED and fractional laser therapies can help to dispel the damaged skin cells and prevent further discolouration of the skin. Also, protect your skin from further damage by using broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and covering your exposed body areas with dark coloured clothing.

2. Get rid of back acne

The acne not only affects the face but in some people it also affects the back and shoulders. So if a back acne outbreak is stopping you from exposing your toned shoulders this summer, believe that you are not alone in this. The key to deal with the issue of back acne is prevention. The kind of prevention it requires depends largely on the type of acne you suffer from. By consulting a professional dermatologist regarding the condition will save you hundreds of pounds which you may waste on over-the-counter products without any improvements. A single effective skin rejuvenation treatment (such as antibiotic pills, Azelaic acid creams, Chemical skin peel treatment) by a dermatologist will not only put a stop to your acne but will also prevent acne scarring that will enable you to show off your impressive body in a bikini top.

3. Remove the stretch marks

Women mostly suffer from the stretch marks due to pregnancy, loss of gained weight or growth spurt. The use of topical creams, gels and serums will not help in this issue. Rather than wasting your time and money on these overpriced creams that claim to remove stretch marks, it is better to choose the laser skin treatments. Seeking a laser skin treatment from a professional dermatologist will not only resolve the issue of stretch marks but also of skin discolouration and scarring making your skin is ready for the glowing tan.

4. Have a body hair removal treatment

One of the biggest issues in summer which keeps you at a bay of using exposed and trendy clothing is the body hair which returns quickly even after shaving or waxing. These procedures even cause ingrowths of some hair which lead to follicle inflammation. So this summer say goodbye to your body hair for good with the laser hair removal treatment. This treatment permanently removes the body hair leaving your skin silky smooth and glowing. There are several different laser devices which are used for the purpose depending on the type of skin. But it is always recommended that you should approach a professional and experienced cosmetic doctor or dermatologist for the treatment to avoid any complications caused by inappropriate laser treatment.

5. Improve unsightly scarring

There can be many things which can leave your body with unsightly scars such as acne, injury, wound, burn, rough activity etc. This prevents you from showing off your summer body. Generally, scars naturally dissipate but it’s a long process. However, if you demand to have a flawless skin before you set out for your summer vacation on the island, you can choose to see a dermatologist and get appropriate treatment.

Simple DIY Skin Care Remedies

Skin Care RemediesIt can be a bit challenging to maintain healthy skin care. People often accidentally abuse their skin without knowing. There are many brand name cleansers, toners, moisturizers and anti-aging products out there that contribute to skin abuse. If you’ll notice many of the over-the-counter products leave your skin feeling dull, dry and flaky and never ever provide the long-term results you are looking to achieve. Many products even cause serious breakouts as most of the over the counter stuff is created for sole purpose of protecting you from sunburn and nothing else. The other reason is because of the chemicals used to make the products. If you read the ingredients on the bottles closely, some of those same ingredients are used to make cleaning products, bleaches, and disinfectants which cannot at all be healthy for skin. This is where the accidental abuse comes in and we further abuse it by believing that covering our skin with makeup will fix it. The goal shouldn’t be just about having great looking skin but rather healthier skin. Below are a few of my very own at-home DIY (do-it-yourself) skin care techniques and secrets that will help you to achieve the goal of getting healthier skin and sustaining a radiant healthy glow.

It is very important to wash your face. Before bed and when you first wake up, especially. Many skin face wash and cleansers contain active ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate and ammonium lauryl sulfate which are extremely harmful to skin. Sulfates are surfactants that are used as cleansing agents to cut oil from the skin but they are too strong and will cause surface dehydration. If you’ve ever wondered why you have dry skin that you can’t get rid of – this is likely the reason. One of my favorite do-it-yourself homemade cleansers is a combination of baking soda and witch hazel. Mix together and add a little water to create a nice paste. Spread evenly around skin in gentle circular motion and wash. Baking soda is a natural antibiotic that cures the underlying fungal infections. It can also slowly erase acne scars and speed the healing of acne damage. It is also the biggest weapon to use against bacteria and inflammation that causes blackheads. Witch hazel is a natural astringent. It helps to reduce the chances of inflammation and its strong anti-inflammatory properties are great for killing bacteria that forms under pores before they even begin. Not only is the baking soda and witch hazel combo a very simply face wash to make it is also very effective. You must cleanse your skin daily. This is rule. Cleansing is especially necessary for those who use make up on a daily basis. Just try it.

Dead skin cells pile up on the surface of skin leaving it looking dull and dry. Dead skin cells are a huge contributor to clogged pores. Exfoliating is important because it removes dead skin cells that clog the skin and uncovers fresh new cells. This opens the way for moisturizing products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective. You do not need to purchase expensive exfoliants to get the job done. You can whip up a simple homemade exfoliant that will scrub away those dead skins cells just as effectively. Oatmeal exfoliants are bar none the best. Oatmeal is full of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds and is known for its skin-soothing properties including moisturizing dry skin, providing relief from itching, rashes and other minor skin irritations. Honey provides natural antibacterial and healing properties to soothe and clarify the skin. Coconut oil is a natural nourishing agent for the skin. All you have to do is mix them together creating a nice blended concoction and gently spread on your face evenly. Allow mask to sit for about 10 minutes before washing off thoroughly.

The above exfoliant and cleanser recipes are just two of my personal favorites. There are other recipe combinations that you can hook up. Almond oil and sugar makes for a great softening agent, as does avocado, salt and lemon juice. All of these ingredients make up fantastic exfoliate recipes that scrub away all of those dead cells.

Be mindful, it is only necessary to exfoliate 1-2 times per week. Excessive use of exfoliants can dry out skin and cause redness and even rash. Do not exfoliate if you have skin rash or sunburn. Cleansers and exfoliants are not one in the same. Please do not try to substitute one for the other. In short, a regular exfoliating routine will leave your skin looking fresh and healthy.

Moisturizing is the most important part of maintaining healthy skin right behind cleansing. You must moisturize daily at least twice per day. Morning and night. The best kind of moisturizer for skin is water. Not only should you be drinking lots of it but you should also splash your skin with it on a daily basis. Lukewarm water is preferred. Water provides organic nourishment and hydration that your skin needs. You can do so by using both night and day moisturizers to keep the skin hydrated and relaxed. If like me, you aren’t a fan of the over-the-counter stuff and have the kind of skin that swallows oil like a big fish, you can whip up a homemade moisturizer using Aloe Vera plant gel, Vitamin E and shea butter.

To achieve a healthy, radiant glow, good skin care does have to be such a complex chore. You also don’t need to spend lots of money to sustain it. Some of the best medicines and skin care remedies can be achieved naturally at home through use of items that are sitting right in your cupboards and refrigerators.

Why People Have Used Vitamin C For Skin Care

Vitamin C For Skin CareThe environment today is not as clean as before. There are already elements that can destroy your skin health. In fact, these elements may also aggravate the ageing process. Women, in particular, are always searching for products that will help them become young-looking. They want to have smoother, firmer skin.

Ancient Beauty

Perhaps you have noticed that women during the ancient times have great, healthy skin. Credit this to the natural ingredients such as vitamin C. Before, women made use of rose hips as they believe that this contains 20 times more vitamin C as compared to an orange. Apart from that, some also made use of oil obtained from berries because this has vitamin C as well. These mixtures or solutions can actually fight different signs of ageing. Indeed, one of the essential components of ancient beauty is this nutrient.

Vitamin C And The Human Body

As your age increases, the levels of this nutrient in your body decrease. A great way of replenishing this is to directly apply a Vitamin C preparation in your skin. Experts say that serum is a better option than creams and lotion because this is lighter. It is greatly absorbed by your skin.

Not only is this vitamin healthy for your overall health. Applying it directly on your skin will help make it more younger-looking, smoother and firmer. It is proven to be efficient at promoting collagen formation. Moreover, it will reduce the effects of harmful free radicals. So when it comes to becoming proactive about proper skin care, it would be wise for you to use a topical vitamin C preparation.

Vitamin C is among the water-soluble vitamins. This means that when you ingest it orally, most of its portion will just be excreted quickly. Creators of the anti-ageing vitamin C serum are fully aware of what they are doing when they developed their products. As compared to oral supplements, topical antioxidants are so much better at producing high concentrations in your skin. Know also that once a topical antioxidant is absorbed by your skin, it cannot be rubbed off or washed already, making it a very efficient product.

When it comes to choosing which among the vitamin C serums to purchase, there are important considerations to bear in your mind. Of course, you must read through reviews. After all, reputation is being earned. Moreover, you must know how stabilize the product is. When exposed to light and air, vitamin C can be oxidized. This form can be detrimental to your skin. For more information about this, check out this site.

There are plenty of products for skin care that are being offered in the market today. When choosing the best skin care product for face, experts say you must opt for a serum.

How To Get The Most Out Of The Natural Skin Care Products You Will Be Using

Natural Skin Care ProductsChoosing to go natural in terms of the beauty and cosmetic products you will be using is a good start to having a healthier and safer skin care regimen. By doing so, you avoid applying products that are loaded with harsh synthetic chemicals all over your face and body that can do more harm than good to your skin.

However, there are certain tips and ways you can you can follow to ensure that you will get the most out of all the natural skin care products you will buy and use. These include the following:

Consider your current skin condition or issues.

Don’t buy just any organic skin care product that you see in the store or on some online shop that is highly recommended by some experts or celebrities. What works for another isn’t exactly a guarantee that it will work for you, too. For instance, if you have highly sensitive skin, there is a high chance that your skin will get irritated by alpha hydroxy acid and glycolic acid, which are both natural ingredients. If you’re prone to developing acne, your skin may also not be able to tolerate natural lotions which contain oils since they can clog pores and lead to breakouts. You can always consult your dermatologist first to find out which ingredients should work for you and which ones you should stay away from.

Take note of the number of ingredients the product has.

In general, skin care experts say that the fewer ingredients, the better. As such, when buying any type of natural skin care product, choose one with really few ingredients. Organic skin care products also tend to contain some extra ingredients and the more that’s in it, the more likely it is to cause irritation or even an allergic reaction.

Choose products that contain antioxidants.

As much as possible, buy and use products that have vitamins C and E since they offer real benefits for the skin. These nutrients scavenge for free radicals, which damage cell DNA that lead to wrinkles and skin aging.

Modify your lifestyle.

Lastly, to get the most out of using your organic skin care products, you need to change or avoid bad habits that can lead you to have unhealthy, unattractive-looking skin. This means getting enough sleep daily, at least 8 hours a day. You have to consume more healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables that are high in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that can help you have healthy, glowing skin. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to properly hydrate your body and skin. Avoid smoking as well since this can cause dry skin. By following these tips and more, you can ensure that you will have a healthy and attractive skin.
